How we handle your information.

Lucid Technology Labs operates LOOKSET and is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. It explains what we collect through the website and private pilot, why we use it and the choices available to you.

01 Information we collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Contact and business details, such as your name, work email, company, role and type of business.
  • Pilot application details, including catalogue size, production workflow, current challenges and other information you choose to provide.
  • Attribution data, such as the page, referral source or campaign that led you to the sign-up form.
  • Pilot content, including product imagery, brand assets, instructions, feedback and correspondence if you are admitted to the pilot.
  • Technical information, such as IP address, browser and device information, request logs and security events generated when you use the website.

We generally receive information directly from you, your employer or colleagues, and automatically from the systems used to deliver and protect the website.

02 How and why we use it

We use personal information to:

  • assess applications and contact suitable pilot participants;
  • set up, operate and support pilot workflows;
  • respond to enquiries and manage our business relationship;
  • understand demand and improve LOOKSET;
  • maintain security, prevent abuse and diagnose problems; and
  • comply with legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.

Under UK data protection law, we rely on legitimate interests to assess demand, respond to business enquiries, improve the service and keep it secure; on steps taken at your request and performance of a contract to provide a pilot; on consent where we specifically ask for it; and on legal obligations where applicable.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use sign-up information for unrelated third-party advertising.

03 Sharing and international transfers

Access is limited to people working on LOOKSET who need the information for the purposes above. We may also share it with carefully selected providers supporting hosting, communications, analytics, security, AI processing and professional advice, or where required by law.

The website and sign-up data use Cloudflare infrastructure. Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. When required, we use recognised safeguards for international transfers, such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections.

If the structure or ownership of LOOKSET changes, information may be disclosed to advisers and transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data protection requirements.

04 Retention and security

We keep unsuccessful application details for up to 24 months so we can evaluate demand and contact you if a relevant pilot opportunity arises. If you become a pilot participant, we retain relationship and project records for the duration of the engagement and afterwards as reasonably needed for legal, accounting and dispute purposes. We may keep minimal suppression records after an objection or deletion request.

We use proportionate technical and organisational measures to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please do not submit sensitive personal information through the sign-up form.

05 Your data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your personal information; to receive certain information in a portable format; to object to processing based on legitimate interests; and to withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on consent.

These rights are not absolute and exemptions may apply. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office, although we would appreciate the opportunity to address your concern first.

06 Cookies, contact and updates

LOOKSET currently uses only the technical storage and request data needed to operate, secure and understand the website. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this notice and provide any choices required by law.

To ask a privacy question or exercise your rights, reply to any message from the LOOKSET team or use the sign-up form and state that your message is a privacy request.

We may update this notice as the pilot develops or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised.
